ORANGE COUNTY

Orange County, with its diverse neighborhoods and downtown business district, serves as the vibrant core of metro Orlando. Orange boasts the largest population of the region's four counties, as well as the most business start-ups and overall employment. Residents typically live in either self-contained communities that boast abundant recreational facilities -- such as Waterford Lakes on the east side -- or history-rich neighborhoods, particularly near downtown Orlando and in Winter Park and Maitland.

Additionally, myriad apartment communities dot a landscape that is marked by picturesque lakes and parks. As such, the county features both a hotbed of residential activity plus ample natural splendor. Northwest Orange County offers numerous parks, natural springs, golf courses and fishing.  The county also hosts various arts and crafts festivals throughout the year.  For those who enjoy a walk back in time, visit the Winter Garden Historical District, or take a trip to the quaint town of Winter Park and spend a day in the numerous antique shops or fine restaurants. For the more modern shopper, Orange county is home to the Florida Mall, West Oaks Mall and the gorgeous new Mall at Millenia.

And, of course, Orange County is home to  some of Florida's most famous attractions, including SeaWorld, Universal Studios, and DisneyWorld, as well as many other water and adventure parks.

In terms of business, no county in Florida will gain more jobs through 2010. Plus, there already exists a wide array of employment opportunities in industries, ranging from high technology and banking to construction and tourism.

Whether taking a class at the University of Central Florida or Rollins College, enjoying the Orlando Science Center or the Orlando Museum of Art, we are sure you will find Orange County is one of the most desirable places to live, work and play!
